Senior Food Safety Officer, Kamrup Suspended

GUWAHATI: Senior Food Safety officer, Kamrup, Bhabesh Bhuyan has been suspended from his post with immediate effect under Rule 6 (1) of the Assam Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1964. The presence of Bhabesh Bhuyan was mandated at a Directorate of Cultural Affairs program in Rangia on July 31, where the Chief Minister was scheduled to attend. However, Bhuyan failed to attend to the duty of the Chief Minister at the program. Moreover, Bhuyan was released from his post in Kamrup and transferred to Lakhimpur with immediate effect but he did not comply with the government directive. As such, Bhabesh Bhuyan has been suspended until further notice.
