Special Task Force apprehends 6 peddlers with 87.4 gm of heroin

GUWAHATI: The Special Task Force (STF), acting on Intel, launched an operation at Amtola under the Sonapur PS jurisdiction and arrested the six peddlers with suspected heroin. The six peddlers are identified as Binud Medhi (32) from Biswanath, Marshal Suting (26) and Bicky Lengdo (18) from Ri-Bhoi district in Meghalaya, Raj Thapa (26) from Sonapur, Donbok (24) and Sahara Begum (40) from Amtola in Sonapur.

The STF team seized 30 plastic vials and three tobacco boxes concealed with suspected heroin weighing 87.4 gram, nine empty vials, one empty tobacco box, five mobile phones, Rs 4700 in cash, and four syringes from their possession.

The peddlers and the recovered items have been handed over to Sonapur Police Station for further necessary actions as per law.
