GUWAHATI: A five-day state-level residential training was organized by the State Mission office, Samagra Shiksha, Assam (SSA), on August 28 and concluded on Friday in Kharghuli.
The programme, which focused on the implementation of NIPUN Axom, was attended by 84 key resource persons (KRPs) from 31 districts. NIPUN Axom is a part of the Nipun Bharat Mission, which aims to achieve Foundation Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) goals among students.
The programme emphasized the proper usage of learning materials provided to the schools under NIPUN Axom. These key resource persons were mainly lecturers and faculties from the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), instructors from Basic Training Centres (BTCs), normal schools, expert teachers, block resource persons, cluster resource centre coordinators (CRCCs), etc.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Om Prakash, IAS, Mission Director, SSA, on August 28. The inauguration session was also attended by representatives of SCERT, SSA, and partner organizations like UNICEF, the Language and Learning Foundation (LLF), Vikramshila Education Resource Society (VERS), the Central Square Foundation (CSF), and the Pratham Foundation. The members of the State Resource Groups of NIPUN Axom, lecturers of DIETs, BTC, normal schools, LLF, VERS, acted as Master Trainers in this training programme.
