GUWAHATI: Following all COVID-19 protocols, a free vision-screening camp was organized at the premises of Mahatma Gandhi Harijan Buniyadi Vidyalaya in Harijan Colony in Fatasil Ambari here on Sunday. The free eye camp was organized under the aegis of 'Lions Club of Guwahati' and NGO (Non Government Organization) — 'Care u 365'. Altogether 80 people availed of the free medical counselling at the camp. The patients requiring eye operation or other treatments were referred to the Lions Eye Hospital in the city.

The camp was jointly inaugurated by the project directors of Lions Club, Adarsha Kashliwal and Abhijit Agarwal along with the president of the school management committee Matta Ishwar Rao and the president of 'Ambedkar Statue Construction Committee', G.T. Rao.

Among others present on the occasion were the president of 'Care You 365', Bhrigu Borthakur, project directors Amrit Koch and Joy Bothra and other members of the NGO including Montu Kalita, Songrit, Bikash Singh, stated a release.
