COVID care facilities

The Health department under the leadership of the Minister and his colleagues has done a commendable job in strengthening the health infrastructure in Assam. The government has also requisitioned private institutions and hostels like Don Bosco University, Sonapur Downtown University, Chandrapur etc to use them as additional COVID Care Hospitals, in additions to the temporary infrastructures created in Khanapara, Sorusajai, etc.

There are many more univDepartmentersities and schools with excellent infrastructures for converting them into hospitals within Guwahati which are presently closed, yet charging full tuition fees.

The government should seriously consider requisitioning institutions like Royal Global, Montford School, etc instead of going for further temporary and expensive infrastructures.
