Develop tourism and agriculture

For about two months manufacturing in the industries, work in agricultural fields, including the tea sector, all businesses came to a halt in the state. The scenario is no different in other states of the country. Lakhs of youth of the state who were working in different parts of the country, mainly in the southern states as security guards in different fields like business establishments, residential complexes, hospitals and as skilled and unskilled labourers in industries, factories have started coming back to the state as they are losing their jobs in those places due to the lockdown.

For the same reason many youths who are currently engaged in different private establishments in the state may also lose their jobs as there may be cutting of jobs by private establishments due to their financial hardship. This may lead to a serious problem of unemployment in the state. It will be impossible on the part of the State government to provide government jobs, further as there is very rare chance of any big industry being set up in the state in the near future due to the prevailing condition.

It is time that we must find out alternate ways to generate employment. Agriculture and tourism sectors can be developed for employment generation. The government should lay maximum stress on these sectors and encourage the youths to get themselves involved in these fields. Many youths are becoming successful entrepreneurs in these fields and helping the state economy to grow.
