Irregularity in Health department

It is often alleged that media is blowing a small matter out of proportion. But all news published in the print media cannot be brushed aside as something cock and bull story. Very often we come across news bringing serious allegation against many State government departments. Sometimes of course, we find certain clarification from the department concerned, whereas sometimes no clarification is noticed. In that case we are left with no other option but to take the news published for granted. One such news pertains to our Health department. In the post-corona period two suppliers in the name of supplying Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) kit, mask, sanitizer and medicines under National Health Mission virtually loot the department – if reports published in the print media are any indication.

Incidentally, these suppliers earned notoriety by their dubious acts of supply during the Congress regime. But the report adds that the two suppliers by their money power mesmerize most of the bureaucrats and keep supplying the above stated items at their whims and caprice. It is reported that sanitizer per litre supposed to be sold/bought @ Rs. 160.00 the duo would supply @Rs.350.00 incidentally at a time when our Health Minister is toiling diligently visiting places from one corner to another of the state. Will our Health Minister pay specific attention to this act of irregularity going on in his own department by blacklisting these two suppliers.
