CISCE Board Exams To Be Held Offline, To Begin On November 12 For Class 12

New Delhi: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has released the schedule of the first-term board examination for Class 10 and Class 12 and has announced that the board examination will be held offline. The first-term board examination will begin on November 29 for Class 10 and end on December 16. For Class 12 the board examination will begin on November 12 and come to an end on December 20.

Speaking to the national media, the Chief Executive of CISCE Gerry Arathoon said, "The CISCE has been in receipt of numerous mails from heads of schools, parents and students who had expressed their difficulties and apprehensions if first semester exam were to be conducted online."

The board has cited problems faced by students such as the unavailability of devices, irregular power supply and network and bandwidth problems as reasons to conduct the examination offline.

Arathoon added, "After much deliberation, we decided that the exams will be conducted in offline mode in their respective schools. Detailed guidelines will be announced shortly."

In other news, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will possibly conduct the first-term board examination in mid-November this year for classes 10 and 12. The students have been advised to regularly visit the CBSE website for updates regarding the examination.
