Shillong: The last date to submit the application for Meghalaya DIET has been extended until 10th May 2022.

Only Indian citizens can apply and the candidates must be permanent residents of Meghalaya. Those who are aspiring to become teachers at Elementary Level to the 2 Years Diploma in Element, Education (D.EI.Ed) Course for the Academic Session 2022-24 may apply.

5% of the seats will be reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). Candidates having a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum age of 27 years as of 01.01.2022 are eligible.

Candidates must pass Class 12 or its equivalent examination with 50% marks but the ST/SC/OBC/PWD candidates will enjoy a 5 per cent relaxation. However, those candidates who are waiting for their Class 12 results are also eligible to apply.

There will be blockwise allocation of Seats to facilitate the availability of trained teachers locally in the respective blocks. 

Interested candidates must only apply through online mode on the website https://dert.megeducation.gov.in from 22nd April 2022 to 10th May 2022 (extended) up to 17:00 PM.

Applications received through any other mode will not be accepted and will be summarily rejected. Candidates must upload a scanned copy of a recent colour passport size photograph and a scanned copy of the signature.

Applicants belonging to the General category will have to pay an amount of Rs. 200/- while the SC/ST/OBC category candidates will have to pay Rs. 100/- but Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) will be exempted from paying the application fee.

The payments have to be made through Online Mode or e-Challan, which is to be generated from the online portal. It is to be noted that the payments using e-Challan can be made at any Branch of the State Bank of India.
