The State Bank of India (SBI) conducted the Mains examination for Probationary Officer (PO) 2021 on 2 January 2022 for the recruitment of 2056 total vacant posts.

The candidates who appeared in the Main exams were earlier shortlisted on the basis of their scores from the preliminary examination.

The SBI PO Mains 2021 exams were held across all states and Union territories. The exam analyses are now available after two days of conducting SBI for Probationary Officer (PO) Mains.

Exam Analysis:

• The question paper of the SBI PO Mains 2021 examination consisted of a total of 250 marks among which 200 marks were based on objective-type questions and 50 questions were needed to answer in a descriptive way.

• The exam for both descriptive type and objectives was held following an online process within the time period of 3 hours.

• There were a total of four sections in the SBI PO Mains exam this year, which were categorized as Reasoning & Computer Attitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Banking/Economy Awareness and English Language.

• The objective test was completed through separate timings for all different sections. After the completion of the objective-type question, the descriptive test was administered immediately.

According to the feedback collected from the students, the questions asked in the SBI PO Mains in Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude sections were of 'Moderate to Difficult' level while the sections of General Awareness and English were easy to moderate. The overall feedback regarding the exam is answered by candidates as moderate.

Those candidates who qualify for the SBI PO Mains 2021 Exam will be called for further selection processes such as group discussions and personal interviews. The interview is expected to be taken by the State Bank of India between January and February 2022 tentatively.

The final selection for the vacancies will be made as per the score that candidates secured in the mains examination and on the basis of their interview. Those who get finally selected after completion of all necessary steps will be designated as SBI Probationary Officers posted in various regions of the country.
