Actor Deepak Tijori Accuses Co-Producer Mohaan Nadaar Of Defrauding Him Of Rs 2.6 crore

MUMBAI: Actor and director Deepak Tijori has filed a lawsuit, claiming that Mohan Nadaar, the co-producer of his movie Tipppsy, defrauded him of 2.6 crore.

Deepak claims that Mohan joined him in supporting the suspenseful film. According to a recent report, a cheating case has been reported to the Mumbai Amboli Police Station.

According to the Mumbai Police, a case has been filed under sections 420 and 406 of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC). Police reportedly claimed a probe has been started, according to sources.

According to the Times of India, Deepak complained in writing 10 days ago after Mohan failed to send him any money. As per the investigation, Mohan pretended to spend the money for the shoot site as he "syphoned off" some of it.

"The accused and the actor had agreed to the terms of the Tippi Hedren movie contract in 2019. Because the accused did not pay the money, the bank that issued the check to him started caving in. Despite our investigation, no one has been arrested," stated the senior inspector of the Amboli Police.

According to sources, Deepak informed that, in September 2019, Nadaar used the funds to pay for the London location. Once he pledged to return, the money was given, but he kept making excuses, and the checks kept failing.

According to Deepak in the FIR, filming for Tipppsy began in London in September 2019. Mohan failed to finish the job, resulting in a loss of 2.6 crore. Taran Adarsh, a trade expert, revealed on Instagram last month that Deepak would be directing the adventure-thriller movie Tipppsy.

With the 1990 release of Mahesh Bhatt's hugely popular musical love film Aashiqui, Deepak made his acting debut.

He also appeared in a number of other popular movies, including Raja Natwarlal, Khiladi, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Baadshah, Vaastav, and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. In addition to his work as an actor, he also directed a number of Bollywood movies, including Oops, Fareb, Fox, and Do Lafzon Ki Kahani.
