Ajay Devgn introduces Saif as terrifying villain Udaybhan

After revealing Ajay Devgn’s look, the makers of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior have dropped the new poster of the film, which features Saif Ali Khan as a terrifying villain Udaybhan. In the image, we see Saif Ali Khan in a menacing avatar holding a sword with intense kohl eyes. Ajay Devgn shared the poster on his social media account and captioned it, “Udaybhan Ke Darbar Mein Ghalati Ki Maafi Nahi Sirf Sazah Milti Hai… #TanhajiTheUnsungWarrior, in cinemas 10th January 2020.”

Talking about his character, Saif Ali Khan earlier said in an interview, “Udaybhan Singh Rathod, a great warrior who works as a mercenary for the Mughals, is not your regular baddie but the doomed Shakespearean hero who ends up on the other’ side. Even in Amar Katha comics, he comes across as a cool dude, the kind Johnny Depp has brought to the screen.” Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior marks the reunion of Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan after 2006’s Omkara. The posters have raised our excitement and now we are anxiously waiting for the trailer of the film, which is set to release on November 19.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior marks the directorial debut of Om Raut. Made on the lavish budget of Rs 150 crore, it is one of the ambitious projects of Ajay Devgn. The period film also stars Kajol in a lead role. Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero is scheduled to hit the screens on January 10, 2020, and will lock horns with Deepika Padukone starrer Chhapaak, which is directed by Raazi helmer Meghna Gulzar. (IANS)
