AROGYA Releases New Single with German Collaboration

GUWAHATI: AROGYA, Assam very own dark synth rock band has released a new single. The song entitled Supernatural is the title of the album with the same name and it is now available on YouTube.

International record label, Out of Line Music released the song on Friday. The brand is based out of Germany. The second song titled "Desire" is due to be released in December, just ahead of Christmas. The third will be released early next year. It will feature Chris Harma of the popular German band, Lord of the Lost.

The band wants to represent the Northeastern region of India in the international arena. AROGYA is the first rock band from the region to be internationally signed so they want to introduce and showcase the influences, culture and customs of the region. This has been attempted through their dress, sound and music in the music videos that have been released worldwide.

Fashion designer Yana Ngoba Chkpu has collaborated with AROGYA for their new looks. The band already has a very distinct identity by emphasizing on visuals and theatricals. They are known for their visual concepts, dynamic stage presence and high energy performances. The band had also recently revamped its image. It created a new logo and collaborated with designer Yana Ngoba Chakpu for their unique costumes and looks.

The dresses designed for the music video have motifs & ancient hieroglyphs painted on them. Thus attempting to represent the characters of each warrior and their properties. Another key factor about the costumes used is that they are all very eco friendly. Jute fiber being the base material in use for the costumes that have been created by Yana.

Two new members have joined the band recently. They are Nishant Hagjer on drums and Pawan Damai is the new guitarist. Rui X has taken over the percussion and Deadnoxx handles samples and synth.
