Veteran Actress Shabana Azmi Tests Positive For COVID-19

MUMBAI: Indian veteran actress Shabana Azmi tests positive for COVID-19 as the actress shared the information by herself by writing on a social media post.

Shabana on Tuesday 1 February took to her Instagram handle to share the details about her health condition with fans and followers.

The 71 years old actress posted a picture of herself along with which she wrote a caption that reads she has been tested covid positive and is currently under isolation at home.

She also requested to undergo a covid test by all those who came in contact with her in the recent days to ensure about their health condition.

As soon as the actress shared the particular information fans has filled the comment section of the post with messages wishing her speedy recovery and good health.

Numerous people in the comment section also showed concern about her husband and Indian renowned poet Javed Akhtar. Fans also suggested her to stay away from Javed Akhtar showing concern about his health.

Well-known personalities from the film fraternity including Boney Kapoor and Divya Dutta have commented on the latest post of Shabana Azmi on Instagram.

Indian film producer Boney Kapoor commented on the post expressing his concern for Javed Akhtar as he asked Shabana to stay away from her husband.

Actress Divya Dutta in her comment wrote 'Get well soon Shabana Ji' and Saba Ali Khan the sister of actor Saif Ali Khan commented by wishing speedy recovery of Shabana.

Ace fashion designer and filmmaker Manish Malhotra also posted a comment that reads 'Take care and get well soon.'

On her work front, Shabana is expected to be seen in the upcoming romantic drama titled 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' directed by Karan Johar. The film is scheduled to get its theatrical release on 10 February 2023. Other lead casts of the film include Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan and Dharmendra.
