MUMBAI: Kim Kardashian the billionaire reality TV star and fashion tycoon has grabbed the spotlight of the 2021 Met Gala after she arrived in the event with a unique attire.
Kim who is known for her bold fashion choice, has however covered her entire body including her face in an all-black ensemble.
Kim on her, Instagram shared the bold ensemble by Balenciaga, captioning, "Balenciaga Met 2021."
During the event a mystery man accompanied Kim which left fans wondering if it was her better half. However, sources said that the person who accompanied Kim was none other than designer Demna Gvasalia, who is the creative director of Balenciaga, and the co-founder of Vetements.
Last weekend, Kim was photographed in a head-to-toe leather ensemble by Balenciaga when she arrived in New York ahead of the Met Gala.
This year's Met Gala theme was "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion". Usually, "The Met Gala" is scheduled on the first Monday of May, but last year's show got canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But this year, Covid-guidelines were followed, guests were asked to provide proof of vaccination and wear masks at all times, except for when dining.
Earlier, Kim has been accused of cultural appropriation yet again. The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' diva shared a set of stunning pictures wearing 'Om' earrings. The 40-year-old has been chastised for wearing a Hindu religious emblem as an accessory. The photo of her flaunting the Hindu sacred symbol 'Om' earings during a photoshoot did not sit well with scores of Hindus around the globe, who expressed their displeasure on social media.
