Shyam Singha Roy Teaser Released: Know About Movie Cast and Story

Shyam Singha Roy is an upcoming supernatural intense thriller movie directed by Rahul Sankrityan and written by Janga Satyadev. The film produced by Venkat Boyanpalli is scheduled to release in theatres on Christmas Eve on 24 December 2021.

The makers of the film have released an official teaser video of Shyam Singha Roy on Thursday 18 November. The released teaser providing the first glimpse of the Shyam Singha Roy has already gained much attention with more than 6.3 million views in just 24 hours of release.

The movie cast popular actors Nani, Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian and Krithi Shetty playing in the lead roles. Nani is romantically paired with Sai Pallavi in the film. Other important casts of the movie include Rahul Ravindran, Abhinav Gomatam, Murali Sharma and Jissu Sengupta, Manish Madwa, Barun Chanda and Leela Samson.

The story of the film revolves around the Devadasi system prevailing in Kolkatta and how the people fight to abolish its practice. The Devadasi system is a kind of religious practice that means Servant of Deva or Devi performed mainly in the southern part of India. The movie presents a strong concept with an intense story relating to a practice carried out in society.

The film talks about this system where women are considered as sex slaves and actor Nani in the film playing the title character of a social reformer fights against the high-class society to end this practice of using women as slaves.

The teaser shows the extreme conditions of women who are exploited and forced into the devadasi tradition. Actress Sai Pallavi in the video appears as dancing aggressively in a temple looking like Kali Maa (Goddess). The technical teams of Shyam Singha Roy are Sanu John Verghese as cinematographer, Naveen Nooli as editor and Mickey J Meyer as music director.
