Taapsee Pannu Starrer 'Shabaash Mithu' is All Set For Theatrical Release in Feb 2022

Shabaash Mithu is an upcoming biographical sports drama directed by Srijit Mukherji and written by Priya Aven starring actress Taapse Pannu in the lead role.

The film is scheduled to release in theatres across the world on 4 February 2022.

The makers of the film have made the announcement regarding the release date of the film on Friday 3 December on the special day of Mithali Raj's birthday, the cricketer whose story is depicted in the film. It is a biopic of Indian Cricketer Mithali Raj, ODI captain of the women's national cricket team.

Other than Taapsee Pannu in the titular role, Vijay Raaz and Asad Ali Palijo will also play a major role in Srijit Mukherji's biopic Shabaash Mithu. Shabaash Mithu is produced by Ajit Andhare under production company Viacom18 Studios.

The film will show the journey of a successful women cricketer by bringing the ups and downs associated with certain moments in the life of Mithali. Taapsee's performance is expected to bring light to the biopic presenting the concept of a powerful women cricketer. The first glimpse of the film shows Taapsee Paanu holding a cricket bat in an intense look.

Earlier she said that it will be tough for her to enact Mithali on screen and to work on such a great project as Mithali is a very precise woman and well-presented person while Taapsee says whatever she thinks without knowing the correct way. The trailer of the film is expected to be released soon by the makers of the film.

Cricket and Cinema often influence the life of Indians and the two when connected together through a film are loved to watch. Fans loved to watch the biopics related to the life of cricketers and therefore Taapsi Pannu's Shabaas Mithi is expected to be big heat after its release.
