13 road mishaps in Kamrup (M) on first two days of Bihu celebrations
Altogether 13 RTAs (Road Traffic Accidents) took place during the first two days of Rongali or Bohag Bihu celebrations in Kamrup (Metro) on April 14 and 15.

GUWAHATI: Altogether 13 RTAs (Road Traffic Accidents) took place during the first two days of Rongali or Bohag Bihu celebrations in Kamrup (Metro) on April 14 and 15. Of these accidents, five occurred on April 14 and eight on April 15. This has come to light in the data of 108 'Mrityunjoy Emergency Response Services'.
On the other hand, of the 251 such mishaps across the State during these two days, a total of 115 cases were registered on April 14 and 136 on April 15. The highest number of 23 RTAs were reported each from Barpeta and Udalguri districts followed by 22 cases each from Dhemaji and Golaghat; 21 from Kamrup; 11 from Sonitpur; and 10 each from Lakhimpur and Darrang.
During these two days, nine such RTAs were registered each from Cachar and Sivasagar; eight from Goalpara; seven each from Baksa, Chirang, Dibrugarh, and Nagaon; six from Jorhat; five each from Hailakandi and Morigaon; four each from Bongaigaon, Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Karbi Anglong, and Tinsukia; and two each from Karimganj, Majuli, and Nalbari.
