3 lakh of COVID vaccine doses reach Assam

GUWAHATI: The Health Department took a sigh of relief after three lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccine reached the State on Wednesday. According to a health official, the newly-arrived vaccine doses will be allocated to different districts.

According to a source, on Tuesday (July 6), the Health Department was facing a shortage of COVID vaccines and only 20,865 people were vaccinated during the day.

It is to be noted that till Tuesday (10 pm), while 13,15,700 people received the second dose of the vaccine, as many as 63,96,700 people received the first dose.
