35 phensedyl bottles seized from an Uber Cab in Guwahati
The Bhangagarh Police along with assistance from the Guwahati Crime Branch seized 35 bottles of phensedyl (cough syrup) from an Uber Cab (AS 01 KC 3445) plying at the GMCH (Gauhati Medical College and Hospital) Road on Thursday.

GUWAHATI: The Bhangagarh Police along with assistance from the Guwahati Crime Branch seized 35 bottles of phensedyl (cough syrup) from an Uber Cab (AS 01 KC 3445) plying at the GMCH (Gauhati Medical College and Hospital) Road on Thursday.
The driver of the vehicle, Sanu Mullah (28), has been arrested in this regard. He is a native of Dhubri district and is currently residing at a rented house in the Rajgarh area. The police have also recovered five packets of ganja from Mullah.
Along with driving under the ride-hailing platform Uber, Mullah was also engaged in peddling, said the police.
The car has been seized and the investigation is on. It may be mentioned that, earlier the accused was arrested by Crime Branch and Paltan Bazar Police in the year 2019 vide Paltan Bazar PS case no 364/2019 U/S _ 22 (A) NDPS Act.
