4 years' jail to Utpala Saikia in graft case

The court of the Special Judge here on Monday sentenced awarded four year’ rigorous imprisonment to Utpala Saikia, who was caught taking a bribe in 2017 while working as an employee of the Education Directorate.

GUWAHATI: The court of the Special Judge here on Monday sentenced awarded four year' rigorous imprisonment to Utpala Saikia, who was caught taking a bribe in 2017 while working as an employee of the Education Directorate.

Saikia had been caught red-handed while receiving a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a college professor.
