GUWAHATI: The State Transport Deparment's online learner's license test facility from home has garnered a good response from people across the State. In just a week, 7,226 people got their learner's license through online process.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had recently launched contactless online Learner License Facility from Home and mVahan with Fitness Everywhere App. Earlier, people had to go to the District Transport Office (DTO) for the license test.

Till September 11, 7,226 people had got their learner's license through the online process. Out of this, the highest number was recorded in Kamrup district - 801 people. In Jorhat district, 724 people have got their learner's license, 530 people in Kamrup (metro), 450 in Tinsukia, 420 in Dibrugarh, 390 people in Cachar and 376 people in Karimganj.
