7,865 road accidents registered in three months across Assam
A total of 7,865 road traffic accidents (RTAs) took place across the State from January 21 to March 21, 2021, stated the data of 108 ‘Mrityunjoy Emergency Response Services’.

GUWAHATI: A total of 7,865 road traffic accidents (RTAs) took place across the State from January 21 to March 21, 2021, stated the data of 108 'Mrityunjoy Emergency Response Services'.
Out of the total RTAs, the highest cases were registered in Kamrup with 744 cases, followed by Sonitpur with 637 cases and Barpeta with 577 cases. In Kamrup (Metro), 404 accidents were registered by the 108 services. According to the data, the least number of accidents were registered in Dima Hasao with 45 cases followed by Sivasagar with 88 cases. Among other districts that registered more than 300 RTAs include are – Cachar (323), Darrang (378), Dhemaji (317), Goalpara (301), Golaghat (398), Nagaon (473), Nalbari (365), and Udalguri (417).
