89 traffic mishaps mark Uruka, Magh Bihu across Assam

A total number of 89 road traffic accident (RTA) cases were attended by 108 Mritunjoy services across Assam on January 13 and January 14 during Uruka and Magh Bihu.

GUWAHATI: A total number of 89 road traffic accident (RTA) cases were attended by 108 Mritunjoy services across Assam on January 13 and January 14 during Uruka and Magh Bihu.

Of these, 45 accidents took place on January 13 and 44 accidents occurred on January 14.

According to data released by the Mritunjoy services, five RTA cases took place in each of Kamrup, Dhubri and Nalbari districts, four in Sonitpur, three each in Cachar, Jorhat, Karimganj and Udalguri, two each in Darrang, Lakhimpur and Morigaon, and one each in Baksa, Chirang, Dhemaji, Goalpara, Golaghat, Kamrup (M), Majuli and Tinsukia on January 13.

Five RTA cases occurred on January 14 in each of Dhubri, Golaghat and Kamrup (M), four in Udalguri, three each in Cachar, Jorhat, Kamrup and Sonitpur, two each in Baksa, Dhemaji, Morigaon and Nalbari, and one each in Chirang, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Majuli and Nagaon.
