AASU to celebrate Bhupen Hazarika’s Birth anniversary

GUWAHATI: The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) is going to celebrate the 93rd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika as Uddipan in collaboration with All Kamrup (M) district students’ union and All Guwahati Students’ union on September 8 near Dighalipukhuri. At 10 am, chief adviser Samujjal Bhattacharya, president Dipanko Kumar Nath and general secretary Lurin Jyoti Gogoi will formally show their respect in front of the statue of Bhupen Hazarika and will inaugurate the Shradhanjali programme. Around 6 pm, the best singers from various colleges and universities will perform the songs of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika.
