GUWAHATI: The Anti-Corruption Youth Power, Assam (ACYPA) has raised the demand for CBI inquiry or judicial inquiry into the multi-crore-rupee scam in the Social Welfare Department.
Addressing the media here on Saturday, ACYPA president Dharmakanta Gogoi said, "The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption did arrest many officials in connection with the multi-crore-rupee scam in the Social Welfare department. Three former Social Welfare Ministers were also grilled in connection with the scam. However, the inquiry became lethargic after that. Two of those three former ministers have joined the BJP now. Have they been given clean chit in the scam?"
