All Moran Students' Union, lawyers' body condole Tarun Gogoi's death

GUWAHATI: The All Moran Students' Union (AMSU) expressed grief on the demise of former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi.

In a statement, presidentArunJyoti Moran and general secretary Naba Moran said Tarun Gogoi was a guardian for all the political parties and other sections of people.

All Assam Lawyers' Association (AALA) president David ledger and general secretary Deepak Kumar Das said he played a major role in laying the foundation for the Assamese community in the national politics.

"As an efficient administrator, he formed a healthy society by respecting people from every community. He started his working life as an advocate and later became the CM and MP. He worked for the development of the State throughout his life," the AALA stated.
