Alleged construction of four lane road at Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: The proposed four lane road from Madhab to Chowkighat, here is presently under construction by the Simplex Company. The road starting from Chowkighat underneath the Jia Bharali river to Madhab measures nearly 10 KMs which connects NH 15 here at Jamugurihat. But according to the allegation made by the local people, the construction company has used sand and soil from the Jia Bharali river basin instead of hard and sticky soil which should be used according to the construction norms. But the construction company, with the influence from the forest department, had carried the sand from the Jia Bharali river resulting in pond-like guts in between the under construction road. The construction company started black topping the road whereas; the roadside soil had been swept away by the rain water causing huge guts and ponds. If it goes so, then the road will not last long. The conscious people have demanded a high level inquiry about the alleged construction.
