Anthology of poems released at Dispur Press Club

GUWAHATI: A new book titled 'Bishnupriya Manipuri Kabita Samgraha', an anthology of Bishnupriya Manipuri poetry collected and translated into Assamese by Dils Lakshmindra Sinha, with an introduction on the history, language, literature, script and culture of the Bishnupriya Manipuri people by the author, was released in a function organised at the Dispur Press Club on Sunday.

According to a press release, the function started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr Gita Dutta Saharia. The book was released by Dr Dayananda Pathak, noted author and retired principal of Pragjyotish College, in presence of Dr Mridul Kumar Bora, the registrar of Mahapurush Srimanta Shankadeva Viswavidyslays, Dr Birendra Kumar Bhattacharjee, former HoD, Tripura University, renowned writer Kishore Jain and others.
