ASDMA to Procure Life Jackets to Tackle Floods in Assam

GUWAHATI: The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) will procure life jackets for the first time. The jackets will be used in flood prone areas in the State. A recent meeting of the State Executive Committee of State Disaster Response Fund under the chair of Chief Secretary Alok Kumar gave its sanction to the ASDMA’s project. An amount of Rs 40 lakh has been sanctioned to procure the life jackets.
