GUWAHATI: Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and the panchayat polls to be held in the State towards the end of this year, on National Voters' Day on Wednesday, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) will organize booth-level meetings to kickstart its preliminary poll preparations and organizational activities.

Talking to media persons, AGP president and State minister Atul Bora said, "National Voters' Day is celebrated every year of January 25. Voters uphold the democratic principles of our country. So awareness and party workers' grassroots activities will be part of every booth-level meeting. The central committee office bearers will be present at their respective polling stations tomorrow to encourage the grassroots workers."

Party sources said that on Wednesday, Atul Bora will be present at his Bokakhat LAC while party working president and State minister Keshab Mahanta will be present in the Kaliabor LAC. AGP MLAs, chairmen and vice-chairmen of corporations, elected civic body members and panchayat members will be present in their respective booths.
