Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad stages statewide protest against CAA

GUWAHATI: The AJYCP (Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad) staged a statewide protest against the contentious CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) on Friday.

In a statement, AJYCP general secretary Palash Changmai said, "The blood of the martyrs of the CAA will not be wasted. We will take hard initiatives for the withdrawal of the Act."

He claimed that the government is trying to give citizenship to the foreigners through the CAA on immediate basis. The general secretary underlined that the AJYCP will intensify their agitation in the coming days.
