Assam Assembly Election 2021: Help party & alliance win, says Badruddin Ajmal

GUWAHATI: AIUDF president Badruddin Ajmal has told his party workers and leaders to get ready for the Assembly election and help the candidates of the grand alliance win.

A special meeting of the party was held at Hatigaon here on Thursday. Apart from the leaders of the central committee of the party, leaders of its sister concerns like Mahila Morcha, Juba Morcha, Chatra Morcha, district and mandal committee presidents and others were present at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Ajmal said, "We're going to fight the Assembly election in alliance with the Congress and four other parties. We will have to help the candidates of our allies, besides our own candidates. We need to work unitedly to defeat the BJP." Ajmal gave a set of guidelines for party leaders to follow during the poll campaign. Talking to the media, party's general secretary Aminul Islam appealed to the Raijor Dal and the AJP to be in the grand alliance. "Or else, the division of anti-BJP votes will only benefit the ruling alliance," he said.
