Assam Government Appointed Two Border Prabhari Officers for BADP

GUWAHATI: The Personnel Department of the Assam Government has appointed two Prabhari Officers for the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) for the Indo Bhutan and Indo Bangladesh borders.

The Prabhari Officer for the Indo Bhutan border is Umananda Doley, Secretary to the Government of Assam, Guwahati Development Department and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority. In addition to his existing duties, Doley will look after the Indo Bhutan Border areas in – Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, and Udalguri. The Prabhari Officer for the Indo Bangladesh border is Anant Lal Gyani, Secretary to the Government of Assam, Agriculture Department and CEO, Mega Mission Society- Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana, Assam. He will look after the border areas in – Karimganj, Cachar, South Salmara-Mankachar and Dhubri.
