Assam Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi greets people on Kati Bihu

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor Professor Jagdish Mukhi wished the people of Assam on the occasion of Kati Bihu. In a message to the people Professor Mukhi said, "Auspicious observance of Kati Bihu by people of all sections bring them to a common objective of agricultural prosperity. Since Assam has an agrarian economy and majority of the people of the state are dependent on agriculture, celebrations of this bihu hold immense importance.". "Let the ritual of giving earthen lamps on the fields destroy all the shortcomings associated with agriculture and leads to agricultural growth in the State", the Governor added.
