Assam Higher Secondary Education Council Extended Admission Date for Class-XI

The AHSEC (Assam Higher Secondary Education Council) has extended the date for admission into various courses of Class XI in various educational institutions across the State.

GUWAHATI: The AHSEC (Assam Higher Secondary Education Council) has extended the date for admission into various courses of Class XI in various educational institutions across the State. Mentionably owing to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the Council has already launched 'DARPAN' which is an online portal for such students. For details, one can log on to www.darpan.ahseconline.in. or www.ahsec.assam.gov.in

According to the latest notification, the interested students will be able to apply online for admission into various courses from August 16 to August 31, 2021. The earlier timeframe in this regard was from August 11 to August 25, 2021.

Accordingly, the AHSEC has also extended the time frame to publish the category-wise merit list from August 30 to September 5. The date for registration by the different institutions has been extended till August 13.

Mentionably, a total of 3,97,121 candidates cleared HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) examination 2021. The Council recently stated that in the current academic year, the State will face a shortage of 80,000 seats for admission into Class-XI in various educational institutions for the academic session of 2021-2022. This was revealed in its review meeting on the overall admission scenario in the Higher Education sector across Assam, on August 3.
