Attack on MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi: APCC demands Dispur to convene an all-party meeting

GUWAHATI: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President and Rajya Sabha MP Ripun Bora has demanded that the Government of Assam convene an all-party meeting to deliberate on the recent incident of firing by miscreants on Congress MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi in the Dissai Valley Forest Reserve in Mariani. He has also demanded that the Government should immediately send an all-party delegation of MLA's and MP's including representatives of Opposition parties to take stock of the situation leading to the unfortunate and grave incident of firing on MLA Kurmi.

The APCC underlined that the government should take the Opposition parties into confidence regarding the enquiry and causes of the incident.
