Autobiographical book ‘Jalukbarit Mur Xunuwali Otit’ released in Guwahati
Author Saurav Kumar Das’ autobiographical book ‘Jalukbarit Mur Xunuwali Otit’ was recently launched at a function held at the Jubilee Hall auditorium, Sector-3, Noonmati, Guwahati.
GUWAHATI: Author Saurav Kumar Das’ autobiographical book ‘Jalukbarit Mur Xunuwali Otit’ was recently launched at a function held at the Jubilee Hall auditorium, Sector-3, Noonmati, Guwahati. It is an 84-page book that has been published by Sagarika-Anamika Prakashan of Guwahati.
On the occasion, Dr. Amarjyoti Choudhury, former Vice-Chancellor of Gauhati University, educationist, and renowned reciter, released the book which beautifully evokes the golden memories of the days spent in the seventies in Jalukbari, known as the country of Krishnachura. The book launch event, presided over by noted writer Liladhar Hazarika, started with the lighting of the traditional lamp by social activist Kumudram Bora. It was followed by a recitation of poems by Cotton University Professor Dr. Mala Dutta, stated a press release.
The function saw a number of celebrities, including musician Suryya Goswami, former Assistant Director of Akashvani Guwahati Center Abani Ranjan Pathak, lyricist Benudhar Kalita, former captain of the Assam cricket team Bimal Bharali.
