'Autonomous institute' status conferred to Arya Vidyapeeth College

GUWAHATI: Arya Vidyapeeth College has been conferred the status of an 'autonomous institute' for 10 years from the session 2022-2023 as per the provisions of Clause 3.13 and Clause 6.4 (1) of UGC regulations.

This is the first institute of Lower Assam to have been conferred this status and the fourth in Assam. The college had faced the inspection committee on April 12, 2022, stated a press release.
