GUWAHATI: The Kamrup district administration issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC restricting unnecessary movement of people in flood affected areas, unnecessary gathering of five or more persons in flood affected areas and fishing in flooded areas and all kinds of water bodies. The restriction on movement of persons is applicable to pedestrians, boats and vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Kamrup district administration has also ordered all private and government schools of the district to remain closed on Monday, June 20, except in case of schools where examinations are already scheduled.
The Kamrup district administration has also issued an advisory to private and Government schools to postpone or reschedule their 'internal examinations' if the area is affected by flood.
