GUWAHATI: More than 100 participants joined a cycle rally organized to mark the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in Guwahati on Friday morning.

The rally which was organized by Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare and the Office of the District Sports officer, Kamrup Metropolitan started from RG Baruah Sports Complex in Ulubari.

The rally concluded at the same venue after completing the route to Ganesh Mandir (Last Gate) of Ganeshguri. Former international swimmer Elvis Ali Hazarika flagged off the rally in the presence of several dignitaries.

The State government has appealed to the people to join hands in hoisting or displaying more than 80 lakh National Flags in homes, Government offices, educational institutes, Public Sector understandings, banks, Semi-government institutions and commercial establishments from August 13 to 15, a press release said.
