Azara Police Busted Bike Lifters Gang in Guwahati, 2 Motorcycles Recovered & 5 Arrested

Motorcycle Lifter Gang: The Azara Police, Guwahati busted a motorcycle lifters' gang in the city and arrested five persons. The police also recovered two motorcycles that were stolen from different parts of the city.

According to the police, on May 16 a youth who was travelling towards Azara side was stopped by the police patrol party, however, the police had to chase him down as the suspect failed to stop and was apprehended near the Jalukbari junction.

The apprehended was identified as Md. Samar Ali alias Babu Ali. Upon interrogation it was revealed that the bike was handed over to him by one of his aide who later arrested with the support of Hatigaon Police. The apprehended was identified as Md. Nuruddin Ali (21 years).

Meanwhile with the arrest of the duo and their confession the entire gangs of five members were apprehended from Santoli and Uttar Rangapani in Assam.

The other arrested members were identified as Md. Hasen Ali (20 Years), Md. Hasem Ali (20 Years), and Md. Ejar Ali (24 Years). Meanwhile, the recovered bikes bear the registration number of AS-01BU 1294 and AS-15K/1003 respectively.
