GUWAHATI: The Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) congratulated former MP and Paneri MLA Biswajit Daimary on being elected as Speaker of 15th Assam Legislative Assembly.
Speaking on the occasion, BSS president Taren Boro said that Daimary is the first speaker from the Bodo community to be elevated as the speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
"We hope Biswajit Daimary will play a vital role in the assembly and will work for the people of the state, irrespective of caste or religion," he added.
