BTR is foundation for separate Bodo state: Koch Rajbongshi National Convention

GUWAHATI: KRNC (Koch Rajbongshi National Convention) General Secretary Biswajit Rai on Monday stated that the party will not support BTR. Rai said that the BTR accord is the foundation to form a separate Bodo state. Rai said, “Through this agreement, the government has bowed in front of the militants.” “We want a solution to the problems of the Bodo community. We don’t have any enmity with the Bodo people, but in the name of resolving the issues, we will not accept a one-sided accord from the government”, he added. “This agreement is the last nail to the coffin of ‘Kamatapur’. It finalizes the government’s denial for a separate Koch Rajbongshi state”, Rai asserted.
