CCTOA demands high-level inquiry into death of Sub-Inspector Junmoni Rabha

GUWAHATI: The Coordination Committee of the Tribal Organisations of Assam (CCTOA) has asked for a high-level investigation into the death of Junmoni Rabha, Sub-Inspector of Assam Police. Secretary General of All Assam Tribal Sangha Aditya Khakhlari said the incident where Junmoni Rabha met with an accident in Jakhalabandha, Nagaon, on May 16 is a matter of mystery. The statement given by the mother of Junmoni Rabha shows that Junmoni was under pressure. All the matters must be made clear, including why her residence was raided and why she was asked to go in the wee hours to Jakhalabandha. An independent investigation should be initiated, he said.
