Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal Encourages Women Empowerment

GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal released the souvenir of PRERANA lAS Officers’ Wives Association Assam, entitled Aspirations 2019 at the NEDFI House Dispur on Tuesday. The inaugural release function was graced by media advisor, Hrishikesh Goswami and Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Assam, Rajiv Kumar Bora.

Addressing the gathering of senior officials and former Chief Secretaries and Secretaries, the Chief Minister appealed to all to further the cause of women empowerment and commended the works of PRERANA in the social mileu highlighting their efforts in reaching out to the destitute and underprivileged. He also asked the PRERANA members to expand their activities and work for gender related issues, girl child education and child welfare, a press release stated.
