CID team of Assam Police visits AMTRON office

GUWAHATI: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Assam Police on Monday visited the office of the Assam Electronics Development Corporation Limited (AMTRON) for investigation and connection.

A contractual employee of AMTRON, Rahul Huzuri, was arrested by the CID after an amount of Rs 2.57 crore went missing from the company's bank account. Huzuri was the accounts officer of AMTRON. He was remanded to four days' custody by the CID. He will be produced in the court on Tuesday. CID had seized his laptop and mobile phone.
