City Police Busts Car Lifting Gang, 7 Arrested
An interstate gang of vehicle lifters from Assam was busted, said police.

GUWAHATI: An interstate gang of vehicle lifters from Assam was busted, said police. The city police claimed to have busted a car gang of vehicle thieves and have arrested seven of its members. It is to be mentioned here that, the Geetanagar Police have been tracking the activities of the gang since last one year. As per police the gang is also associated with an international racket.
On May 17, the police successfully apprehended one identified as Kamal Sarma from Hojai District. On the other hand, the rest has been identified as Mondeep Das, Dhrubajyoti Das, Debajit Bhattacharjjya, Deep Roy, Premjit Singha, Sanjit Singha.
