Committee urges award for Xattradhikar Bhadra Krishna Goswami
A four-member committee of the ‘Sattradhikar Bhadra Krishna Goswami Memorial Committee’
GUWAHATI: A four-member committee of the 'Sattradhikar Bhadra Krishna Goswami Memorial Committee' called on Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at his official chamber on Monday evening to discuss Xatra development projects. The committee also submitted a memorandum to the CM seeking a State award in the name of late Goswami and a statue in his birthplace.
The Chief Minister while receiving the memorandum, assured the delegation to look into the matter with proper discussion and analysis at the State government level. The committee also handed over a cheque of Rs 1,00,000 to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund as a gesture of solidarity towards the government's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Besides the delegation members, Mitali Goswami Trochin, Victor Trochin, Amal Kalita and former Axam Xahitya Xabha president and presently the MLA of Sipajhar LAC Dr Paramananda Rajbongshi were also present at the meeting with the Chief Minister, stated a release.
