CRPF Celebrates Raising Day Without Pomp And Show The Wake of Pulwama Attack

GUWAHATI: Group Center, CRPF, 9th mile celebrated its 45th Raising Day without much pomp and show in the wake of recent Pulwama suicide attack.

A Swacch Bharat Abhiyan was organized in and around the group center campus during the morning in which GC, CRPF Officers and Jawans have taken part enthusiastically. As an honour to the martyres of CRPF, wreath laying ceremony and 2 minute silence observed at Saheed Smarak.

While taking salute at quarter guard Chief Guest, Prakash D, IPS, IGP, NES has congratulated the officer and jawans on the occasion and briefed about the glorious legacy and golden rules and importance of Group Centre. He also recalled the recent sacrifice of 40 soldiers of CRPF in Pulwama attack and appreciated their supreme sacrifice. On this occasion, Prakash D IPS, IG, NES, Sh. JPK Ray, DIG, Range Guwahati, UM Baishya , Comdt GC, Guwahati, Officer and Jawans were present.
